On Tuesday July 31st, 2007, my father went in for double by-pass surgery. I went out to Illinois to be with him. On August 2nd, I had some time available when my father was busy, so I went to a small Japanese garden in Rockford, Illinois and brought my camera along.

On August 5th, I was driving around southern Maine, when I wandered into Fort McClary which had demonstrations from USA civil war reenactors. Mostly, they were firing the cannon towards the harbor.
