Pictures of the Diefenbunker, a museum of the cold war in Ottawa, Canada (19 pictures)

The Diefenbunker was designed to protect the Canadian government if cold war had turned into a war involving nuclear weapons. Fortunately, it was never used. It was named after John Diefenbaker, who was prime minister of Canada when the facility was first built. One Canadian prime minister who learned that there was no provision for spouses and children to be protected, vowed never to set foot in the bunker.

The rubble is from Hiroshima or Nagasaki, and the wall lists all of the wars and conflicts in the world that have occurred in the last years.
