When Liz started needing a walking staff due to foot problems, I ordered a staff for her from Down East Walking Sticks, like the one I had ordered previously to use as a camera mono-pod. Like my staff, the staff comes apart into 4 sections for easy travel, and the top unscrews with a 1/4-20" screw thread, typically used for camera mono-pods. Now, when I'm using the staff and I don't have a camera attached, I often times have the photographer squirrel Nutzo or the artist squirrel Livinia mounted on the staff as a staff topper. We decided Liz should have a similar staff topper. In February 2014, I made the first version of Lady Arabella with her sewing machine for Liz's staff topper. In July 2014, I reworked the staff topper, so that the mouse and sewing machine were more firmly attached to the wood platform (but they still can be removed if necessary).
