1st generation steampunk camera
Around September, 2010 I started construction of the first generation of the wooden camera frame.
Initially I just had a coping saw and a drill. Over time I added a hand saw with manual router box, then a table saw, a belt sander, and finally a power router.
I took basic woodworking instructions at the Elliot School in Boston. Originally I was thinking about using their open shop nights, but the distance from my home in Ayer meant it was often too inconvenient.
I also went once to the Artisans Asylum in Somerville but like the Elliot School, it is too far to drive when I want to do 1/2 hour or an hour of work.
